Things Will Be Great When You're DOWNTOWN
The New Westminster Downtown Residents Association sponsored a community barbeque on Thursday, July 27. My two nieces from Burlington (Lauren and Natasha) joined Alyson, Sue, and my Mom at the festivities. It was a catered affair and for a mere five dollars each we were treated to delicious barbequed hamburgers, potato chips, pop, dessert, popcorn and live entertainment. There was a clown for the kids and a jazz quartet for the adults. And door prizes too. Lauren and Natasha both won miniature dolls and I won a $25 gift certificate from Walmart. It was a great experience participating in this neighbourhood event.
