Christmas 2006 - It's History
888 Gauthier Avenue in Coquitlam was the scene of heightened activity as the Grants, Carters, and Stelmachs gathered to share in a two-hour gift exchange. Doris, Sue, Al, Alyson, Jordan, and Peggy unloaded stocking stuffers for the first hour. They ate decadent bear claws from Charlie's Chocolate Factory and discovered $2 pay-outs on Scratch and Wins in their stockings. Then for the next hour they dove into some serious gift unwrapping.
Click on this picture link to see Christmas photos. As mentioned, the gang opened gifts at Doris's place in the morning. Later in the afternoon they joined Sue at her fabulously cozy home. She made a delicious turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. Before sitting down for the meal, though, the celebrants played snooker and Scrabble in the Plaza Point's party room. Avril, Garth, and Kate Wedemire joined in the festivities. It was a beautiful evening of fun and friendship - and delicious food!
After dinner the gang played a game called Loaded Question. It was a fun and interactive game - participants learned a few things they didn't know about each other. There was laughter and fun. When the game finished, Avril's decadent ice cream cake dessert was consumed by ravenous diners (can you believe they were hungry again?). The dessert was cleverly made with soy product and it was delicious.
