Langley Ukulele Ensemble

On Sunday, December 10th, Avril and Garth treated a group of friends to an evening of pure musical delight. The Langley Ukulele Ensemble performed at St. Andrew's United Church in Maple Ridge. The ensemble consisted of 30+ ukulele players, their average age: 15 years. Wow - it was terrific. Not only could the performers play the ukulele - they also each had powerful singing voices. Many of the songs performed included both ukulele and voice. Following the concert, Sue, Doris, Dorothy, and Peggy were invited to Avril and Garth's for a delicious ham dinner and a Christmas craft: we made centre pieces for our own homes. How devine!

I'm glad to hear this was worth it! I've heard about this troupe and always wondered if they were as good as the hype. I'll have to keep an eye out for their next show!
