An Egg-cellent Easter

It's a good thing I took a picture of the chocolate Easter eggs Al brought to the games' night last night ~ we've guaranteed Charlie's Chocolate Factory chocolates will not go stale at the Grant household. The candy is as good as gone.

Avril, Garth, Sue, Al, Mom and I played the board game, "Cranium." We also ate spinach dip, taco chips, farmer's saugage and smoked gouda cheese. Later, Sue treated us to a homemade lemon cake in honour of Avril's birthday.

This morning, Easter Sunday, Mom and I went to the Ridge Theatre in Vancouver's Kerrisdale district. The film festival is underway in the city and directors are often on hand to introduce their films to audiences. Mom and I paid our $12 and were treated to hot tea, bagels and cream cheese before the show began. The movie, "Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont," was directed by Dan Ireland. He's a Vancouverite by birth but now lives in Los Angeles. He introduced the film and his mother and sister who were also sitting in the audience. The movie is a gently told story about friendship and its capacity to span several generations. If you have the opportunity to see it, I recommend it.
