Well, it's official. Sue is now a Fraser Health retiree. Instead of a commute across the Port Mann Bridge this morning, Sue packed her bags in preparation for a flight to Terrace, BC. (Wait a second, isn't that where Sue first started her 9-5 life?) Alas, Sue will spend the better part of next month helping with Hope International's cross-Canada silent auctions and fund-raising dinners.
During her trek across Canada, Sue will visit daughter Alyson in Calgary, along with other members of the Grant-van Boeschoten clan; then she'll fly to Burlington where brother Brian will pop the cork on some vintage wine and raise a toast in honour of his sister's achievements; after Burlington it's on to Ottawa where she'll stay with son Jordan. They'll prepare and eat delicious stir fry dishes, or any other food that requires an electric wok (Jordan's suite is a stoveless one).
Last night, Sue and her friends dined at the Dragon Palace Restaurant in New Westminster. Ginger beef, gai ding (chicken and almonds), sweet and sour pork, chicken chow mein, spicy tofu, beef and broccoli, and sticky rice. The Dragon Palace is one of Sue's favourite places to dine, so it made perfect sense to book the restaurant's private party room for this celebration meal.
Here are pictures of last night's get-together:

Friends who dine together, stay together.

You guys look like you had such a lovely time. Thanks for posting the pics. The only sad part is that I wasn't able to be there. Oh well- here's to more good times down the road!

I wish I was there to help celebrate, but let's face it... I really wanted some ginger beef!
