Holding Steady at 139
My recent weight loss (one pound) does not a Jennie Craig commercial make. But it is a reminder of how gosh-darn hard it is to maintain one's weight, especially when one is inclined to love all things fattening ... like chocolate truffles from Costco. Is it me, or do frozen goodies taste better than the room-temperature variety?
Can't Place the Face, But I Recognize the Pace
On today's run, I kept pace with a woman who probably runs a 50-minute 10K. The Quay is a lovely, flat area to run -- even if it's made a bit slippery by the morning frost. There's a trio of women who walk the Quay at the same time as my run; I wonder where they've come from ... are they neighbours, or are they office friends who agree to meet in New Westminster for a stroll along the Quay with their lattes and parkas?
Just Say Snow
The weather forecast calls for showers mixed with flurries mixed with freezing rain mixed with clouds mixed with sun. I'll keep you posted on my all-weather runs, which I've decided will continue in February.

Great new banner, Peggy. I think those ladies were high school chums and they just got re-acquainted on Facebook!
Keep it up, my friend. You're doing fine.
