Pound-for-Pound

I've gone on morning runs and pounded the pavement every day since January 1. My scales tell me that I've lost a grand total of one pound. A pound of fat for all that pavement pounded.

Sunshine, finally

Today's run was an especially nice one -- minus two degrees in the village of New Westminster. A wild windstorm buffeted Metro Vancouver yesterday. It blew away all the clouds and moisture and left the surrounding pavement dry and pasty-white.

Cure for Insomnia

One of the best side effects of running is my refreshing sleep pattern. My head hits the pillow, the eyelids fall, and eight-hours later Rick Cluff is waking me up. It's hard to beat a good night's sleep.

Hey -- get posting! I am exercising regularly -- vicariously, that is. I'm getting behind!
